Admission requirements

Students, in October, are called to register their own business ideas. These will then be processed through an innovative blochchain (proof of idea) web application (PingelApp), used to match proposal ideas with the most suited teacher and researcher, who have initially accepted to be Standby Mentor.

Apply using Switch edu-ID, https://startupgarage.dti.supsi.ch/mentors/competences

Students who do not have ideas can also access. They can join Skipper teams contributing with their competence and skills (Call-for-Peers) contacting startupgarage@supsi.ch

As soon as business ideas are entered in the data system management tool, such ideas are associated with their creators and students become the “Idea owners”. Thereafter, all of them are invited to pitch their ideas. These pitches are video recorded in order to partially protect IP.

Throughout the entire matching process the Startup Garage Management acts as supervisor and checks the consistency between the business idea and the Standby Mentor selected.
